### Job Title: Night Shift Medical-Surgical RN - Acute Rehab/Med Surg **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a position that includes floating between Acute Rehabilitation and Acute Medical-Surgical units. This is a 12-hour night shift position (36 hours guaranteed per week) in a supportive community healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in medical-surgical nursing, demonstrate leadership abilities, and be prepared to provide high-quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients, ensuring all aspects of their needs are met. - Actively engage in patient and family education to promote health literacy and understanding of care plans. - Provide leadership by cooperating with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to maintain professional nursing standards. - May be required to function as a backup Charge Nurse. - Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and management. - Adhere to established nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:4 or 1:5. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Rehabilitation nursing is required. - Charge RN experience is mandatory. - Previous travel nursing experience (at least 3 months) is required. - BSN preferred. - Active ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA). - Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the healthcare facility and possess a valid driver's license, as public transport is not available in the area. **Work Schedule:** - 12-hour night shifts. - Every other weekend and holiday availability required. **Additional Information:** - Orientation is non-billable for 8 hours. - Due to attendance policies, excessive call-offs may result in contract termination. - All requests for time off must be communicated prior to submission; no more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
